Welcome to the Lincoln Middle School Library! I am Mrs. Rosanna R. Alvarado, your librarian. I have been an educator since 2001 at the university, middle, and elementary levels. I was a lecturer at UTEP in the College of Business for two years. I then began my career in the elementary schools as a third grade and then a fourth grade teacher. From 2010 - 2018, I was blessed to be the librarian at Mitzi Bond. I began my adventure as a middle school librarian in March 2018.
I received my Bachelor's degree from UTEP in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Reading and Math. I also have my Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling from UTEP. My certification in librarianship was received from Texas Woman's University.
Please know I am here to service the library and academic needs of the students, teachers, staff, parents, and the Lincoln community. I look forward to working collaboratively with each of you to achieve student success and lifelong readers!
Reading can open endless opportunities. It is my hope to instill a love for reading and lifelong learning in each individual child.

Goal:
My goal for the library program is to instill a love for learning in all students through a collaborative approach; providing equitable access to information and resources, encouraging critical thinking skills, and furthering information literacy for the 21st century.
Beliefs & Objectives
Through collaborative efforts, evidence based practices, and listening to the needs of the users, the library program will prepare students for the future by providing opportunities that: encourages innovative and critical thinking; promotes problem-solving skills; develops effective, ethical, and respectful practices of information and communication; stimulates social learning, and establishes life and career skills.
NO EXCUSES UNIVERSITY
Our campus is a No Excuses University campus, which means we encourage students at all levels to attend a college, university, or higher learning after high school. Each teacher selects a university or college to promote communication and information regarding their services and majors. Ave Maria University is a private Catholic university in Napal, Florida. It was founded in 2003 by Tom Monaghan. The mascot is a Gyrene. The motto is "From the Heart of the Church, the Splendor of Truth."
