National History DayNHD was established in 1974 as a way to engage students and teachers in historical research and skills development centered around an annual theme. It is a world wide nonprofit organization that allows students to present their creations at a local level and perhaps beyond. Through their participation and involvement in National History Day throughout the school year, students develop not only their self esteem and confidence, but critical thinking skills, problem solving skills, research and reading skills at the college ready and 21st century level.
